New Bay - The jumping polo pony

New Bay - The horse that comes after Bay, but before Newer Bay and Newest Bay.

These are pictures of her being ridden by a friend I was going to share her with ...

I have recently not been playing polo as much as I would have liked, and decided that maybe it was time to find a new horse.

Since riding polo ponies I have become quite fond of them as a type ... and wanted a polo pony type horse. New Bay came from the yard I had been playing polo at and was for sale.

She had done a bit of polo, but was far to fizzy for it and preferred to jump. She seemed ideal for me - A polo pony that likes to JUMP.

New Bay also looked promising in terms of flat work too. I took delivery of her for a weeks trial to make sure she was ok. We became very attached to each other very quickly.

After only a couple of days she was already woofeling at me when she saw me. I thought I had found my perfect horse. She was pretty, cute, friendly, kind, liked to jump, went quite well on the flat and was a polo pony ... what more could I have asked for.

Well ... she could have passed the vet for a start ... I was devastated. The vet was very worried about her legs and told me that she failed the vetting before they even started. After much advice and nail biting I decided to reluctantly send her back ... will I ever find another like her ...

... until I do I am once again horseless.
