George gets measured for a new saddle
2 June 2001 It has been very hard to find a polo saddle to fit George. All the new clever saddle cloths haven't helped him. Its time to get him a a made to measure saddle.
The saddle that I got for Bert was bought from a shop and was made by a man call Keith Byran. Those that know say he makes great saddle, and not just polo saddles.
It has taken me a while, but I finally managed to get hold of his contact details and gave him a call. He agreed to come down personally and measure George for a made to measure saddle.
Bert looks on, in the wars again ... this time with a pooly leg ... yet more vets bills. "What about me?" ... no Bert, you already have one!
While he was there he showed me the design changes since my saddle was made ... although Bert's saddle was only bought a short time ago, it has actually been sitting in the shop for 3 years! (I feel ever so slightly cheated ... but it is a nice saddle.)
8 July 2001 A little bit later than expected the new saddle arrives in the post ...
... and a fantastic new saddle it is. Keith assures me it is the same as Bert's, well near enough, but it seems much more comfortable. I hope George likes it.
Thank you very much Keith!
