Its been a long while since I did something utterly rediculous ... Ok, I know ... many would disagree.

Every time I see a film set in the past with the horses all dressed up, usually in some kind of armour, something just comes over me.

I recently saw the film Van Helsing and there was a scene with a team of horses wearing these fantastic chamfrons with spikes and everything ...

And obviously I couldn't contain myself any longer ... it was time to expose George to a new humilation!

I found this fantastic armorour in the US. His name is Gregory Podgorny and he makes custom arms and armor for films and wacky individuals like me. Actually, there seems to be a lot of people who take this stuff quite seriously!

I asked him if he could make me something for my poor polo pony ... something to make him look tough and hard ...

George doesn't quite carry it off like a big 17 hand jet black war horse with flowing mane and firey eyes ... but I think its cool.

I wonder if they would let me play polo in it ...
