Bertie n George go on holiday.

17 June 2000
Bert and George go on Holiday ... well I don't think they have seen real grass for a very long time ... they think in comes in packets from the supermarket. A good friend of mine, Hannah felt very sorry for them and arranged for them to come and stay in a BIG field for a week. When I told Bertie, he couldn't wait !!!

I didn't know if George would load or not ... and there was no one to help ... but the angles they are ...

When we arrived we just had to go for a hack ... lots of roadwork (the hillwork was good for them) ... and we found a nice pub :)

What is it with horses ... they have a 50 acre field and they have to eat the shabby grass at the gate. Well they soon discovered the real grass ...

And to show them how much I loved them, I just stuffed them full of sweeties.

And the real surprise ... except for the fact that Bertie didn't want to come home and wouldn't load in the trailer ...

Bertie and George now have their own field at the polo club ... no more dusty paddocks for them (well till October, and then it will be back to mud baths). And a very nice field it is ... B&G love it ... and for the time being a great weight has been lifted off my mind (and put into their stomachs !!!).
