Pink Power

The National Woman’s Arena Polo Championships have come around and there is no room on the polo field for men unless they are wearing a skirt or grooming for the ladies.

Mandie has been playing polo a year or so now and this is one of her first polo tournaments. Given her penchant for things pink she has gone overboard and not content with pink team’s shirts, a pink mallet and a pink hat ... she has subjected her poor horses to the humiliation of also being adorned with pink saddle cloths and pink bandages. Her "Stick Dude" is also publicised in the team colours .... PINK.

Could this be a case of Pink overdose?

The team is playing in the 0 to 1 goal arena handicap level and the tournament was over two days with three levels of polo.

And here I am being the dutiful groom, stick dude and supporter looking after the horses and presenting my patron with pony and a cup of tea between chukkas!

The team played well against stiff competition ...

And after the two days finished with a convincing win in their class ... well done PINK POWER!
