Alfie is Born

Alfie was a wonderful surprise. He was by Plato out of a nice Hunter mare.

Alfie was a friendly chap with a smart white flash on his quarters. He qualifies as a coloured horse because of it, and I think it makes him very distinguished.

He was bought by an international eventer as a Badminton prospect for the future. We later heard that his new owner was delighted with him as in the field he had started jumping fallen trees for fun ... and big ones at that.

While all his field friends would run round the trees, Alfie would jump over them! Look out for Alfie in 6 or 7 years time ...
